Drawn to the older architecture and fire escapes in lower Manhattan I created this 3 dimensional mixed media art entirely painted in oils. Using only existing items bound most likely for the landfill I first create a three dimensional relief out of wires, buttons, knitting needles, rope, hose and more inspired by a photo I took in Soho. After I built the 3 dimensional relief I covered all of the found objects in primer and then did an oil painting of Grand Street in Soho on top of the objects.
