The phrase of the famous French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan "Il n'y a pas de rapport sexuel" is often incorrectly translated as "sexual relations do not exist." But the word rapport does not mean "relationship", or rather, it is not the first and not its main meaning. First of all, it means “income, profitability, amount of collected tax, report, ...”, and “ratio” is somewhere at the end of the list, and that means a ratio rather in a mathematical sense, like one second or three tenths. A fraction is an report. That is, it would be more correct to translate this phrase as "sexual reciprocity does not exist" or even more rigidly "sexual equality does not exist.
