Mona Lisa or Giokonda is the most popular painting in the world, which as soon as it has not been depicted and distorted, for me this means that it has not gone out of fashion yet and will be popular for many years to come.
⠀
But, my story with this picture comes from childhood. When I was 5 years old, a portrait of Mona Lisa appeared in our house, no one knows how. No one remembers who brought it, and how it ended up on the wall in the room. As I remember now, it was on a wooden base, painted and varnished, a very high-quality copy, according to my recollections. She could also look at the viewer from a different angle, left or right, she always looks only at you. She impressed me, I could stand near her for a long time, my house was a separate Louvre, in which no one hurried me to see her. Years later, the picture left just as unknown as it came to our house. No one remembers exactly how it came, no one remembers exactly how it left, but the memories remained.
⠀
Under these memories and impressions, I wanted to portray her, but in brighter and more saturated colors, you get sick outside the box and inimitable, but at the same time preserving her image and silhouettes so that she is recognizable. I ordered a high-quality Italian canvas for individual sizes, like the original 53x77 cm.
⠀
Someday it will hang in the Louvre next to the original, let it be a fantasy, but it's not harmful to dream!
