“As I twirl and twirl
From my deeply buried sub-concious
Fragments of my memory come before me
I see places and things, I feel thoughts and emotions
These are the parts of me
That somehow got lost along the way
Oh! My forgotten childhood
And who I really was come before me” - Anisha
As he twirls, images of his childhood appear…a beach where he once played…where he built castles and dreams in time and sang joyous songs. His present is depicted In the lower two images, while the two images above that depict him traversing fragments of time into his past. The scale of the beach represents a fragment of his memory, with the border around it signifying the complex layers of a mind.
What are your lost dreams and forgotten memories?
“Fragments of my memory” The beach is represented in a four sided rectangle at the heart of the painting. The scale and size of the beach has been purposefully structured to depict it as a fragment...further it uses curved lines in order and proportion aided by colour as a geometric non-representational version of a beach.
