With my
painting "FLORA" I want to present a harmonious mystical
world to the audience. Flora (Chloris) is known in Roman mythology as the
goddess of flowers and spring, in Greek mythology she was a Nymph.
My
"modern-day Flora" has more to say to us; it gently points
out that in today’s world, feelings and mindsets are in the background, also
the relationship between nature and man.
A female figure is walking
forward from the background, softly touching the fertile ground, flowers
blossom in her footsteps among her, she brings us abundance, beauty and
most importantly hope to build a better future. The world needs to be
rebuilt, made more beautiful, all with the humility that Flora represents us.
Gently by touching nature, she covers the whole landscape with flowers.
The figure’s
red dress symbolizes female fertility and vitality.
"I'm
here, feel and see me!"
