These four cypresses are not fiction. Centennial giants do
exist. When in cloudy weather the sun suddenly peeks out in the evening, their
tops are illuminated by a pre-sunset glow, igniting their mighty outlines, and
the wind, rocking them from side to side, blows the fire in the gaps of the
crowns, dancing like flames. When the sun is almost gone, the cypresses
continue to glow. When the realization comes that the sunset is no more, that
the light has already disappeared, the cypresses continue to still
carry its reflections in themselves, turning into the shadows of giant flames. Every tree has a soul that speaks to us in the language of our imagination.
