An iperrealistic drawing in graphite on smooth paper.
As for all my drawings, the trigger is the light I spot in the eyes of the subjects. I started drawing during the second lockdown as a self-taught person, longing for light while in such a dark moment of life. Drawing has started being my way out, a special moment during which I could really feel my Self in the here and now.
In this work, the light coming from the eyes is magnified by the tears of that hungry baby, fed by an empty, tired though loving breast. What I see is such a great love to nurture and grow a pure and resilient soul craving to live.
