Falada is a pop surrealistic painting with the fairytale "the goose girl" as an inspiration. The concept of the speaking horse, and the true princess not being able to tell the truth out of fear what will happen to the girl or her mother. As soon as the truth comes out, life gets better for the princess, but only with the price of of blood and cruelty, even if the maid chose her own fate. Had the girl or Falada revealed the sceme right away, things might not have escalated as horribly as they did, with the horse being beheaded and the maid being dragged down the street in a barrel full of nails. The horse and the girl are mophed together as one in this piece, both not being able to speal until the vile comes out, but teinting everything, because they did only speak in the end. They could have avoided the bloody fate of the horse and the maid, and all the ordeal they went through, had they just cleared eveything up right away.
