“Eyes of the Universe” came to life in the period where I
started trusting more and more my medium to express itself - it was completed
in an uncontrolled and spontaneous manner. My drawings and paintings in that
stage were progressively transforming into organic shaped creations.
In “Eyes of the Universe” I worked with just black and white
acrylic, no shades of grey were used. I painted the canvas with a black base,
and worked my way onto the final image.
As I freed all concerns in the completion of this artwork,
the spontaneity of this technique has led to both, subject and background,
emerging into one entity, into one being…
After all, aren’t we all One with all that there is? with
all of the universe?
