The title of this piece is a saying Venezuelans frequently use to express annoyance. "Are you deaf?" is what it translates to. I have a vivid memory of some friend from the past asking if I had an amusement park made out of wax in my ear, because I could not catch what she said to me before hand. That really stuck with me and wanted to turn that insult into a visual. It is quite ridiculous, which I love.
