A couple was making love, and I was their photographer, commissioned to capture their intimate moments. It was my job to photograph their beauty in a way that pleases them. But away from the job, I painted the experience, without the couple in front, without any advanced technological inventions getting in the way. It was no longer to please anyone else, but to express myself. I come face to face with my own conscience. I feel both vulnerable and liberating.
