The scream
The depiction was inspired in Edward Munch’s painting The Scream.
The picture depicts a face, the endless open red lips with the white teeth capture your eyes and there is a sensation of reverberant crashing sound.
Suffering, anguish, distress, grief, hurt all these are some of the emotions that the viewer can appreciate in this painting; the face occupies the entire canvas in an exuberant manner.
There is no room for anything else since the strong emotional expressions are enough to fulfill all the space in an explosive way.
The figure in the painting is clear, it represents pain in its pure sense, the strong and raw colors make it look pulsating. The open mouth and half-open eyes, give the impression of pain in its clearest expression.
What is the terrifying situation with which the figure is dealing? What is experiencing?
The most interesting characteristic of all in the painting is the level of states of emotionality,
The colors flow freely into one another suggesting the transposition of emotions on a physical, psychological and spiritual level.
