This leaf art is inspired by the recognition of duality prevalent in the world around us, darkness and light, masculine and feminine, challenges and comfort are some opposites which come to mind
The Kaaba in the "heart" gold tile and outlines represent Divinity
Even within the Al Asma-ul-Husna (99 Beautiful Names of God), His perfection is evident in the harmony and balance created through His opposite Attributes
He is:
Al-Awwal (The First), Al-Aakhir (The Last)
Al-Muhyi (The Giver of Life), Al-Mumit (The Bringer of Death)
Al-Mubeen (The Clear/Evident), Al-Batin (The Hidden/Concealed)
Al-Muqaddim (One who gives Precedence), Al-Mu’akhkhir (The Delayer)
Al-Muizz (The Bestower of Honor), Al-Mudhill (The Dishonorer)
Al-Baasit (The Extender/Granter of Abundance), Al-Qaabid (The Withholder/Restricter)
An-Nafi (Creator of Good), Ad-Darr (Creator of Adversity/distress)
He is An-Nur (The Light), and yet as Al-Bari (The Originator/The Creator of every thing in Existence) He is also the One who created the darkness and is Al-Muqtadir (The Omnipotent One) and Al-Waasi (The All-Encompassing, All-Pervading and All-Knowing)
Everything that exists in the Universe, in any capacity, including all types of human beings, are thus simply manifestations of the infinite combinations of His Divine Attributes
And everything is per His Divine Wisdom and happens by His Decree exactly as it has been Willed, to accomplish our Divine Purpose: to reflect upon the glory of the One and to fill our hearts with His remembrance in all times
The baryonic matter (protons/neutrons/electrons) that make up the stars and galaxies we see only comprise of 5% of the whole Universe, while 95% of it is dark matter and dark energy which are invisible/formless to us (humans) and yet dominate to hold together all the elements of the Universe
In essence, this world and "reality" as we know it, is but a shadow of the True Existence behind the Unseen Veil
"Only full, overhead sundiminishes your shadow. But that shadow has been serving you. What hurts you blesses you.Darkness is your candle.Your boundaries are your quest. You must have shadow and light source, both.Listen, and lay your head under the Tree of Awe.” - Rumi
