I'm concerned with perceiving
human form as the actual human form of existence, which means bringing
something from the unspeakable into time in order to be able to become present
there. This means that the name “Gestalt im Raum” is not just the name of my
studio, but is the central theme of my work.
What can be shown in the work
that goes beyond the appearance of the material world and that becomes visually
perceivable to the viewer? A gesture, a movement, a touch of the otherworldly
in the expression of a face? I ask these questions of the viewer and myself.
