The word Deficit means: what is missing to complete an account. What is missing to fill a certain amount or quantity; what is missing to complete a whole.
Through this concept, I present a research of works composed of paper drawings. The drawings on paper are made up only of graphite, the basic material for any drawing, and with the gesture of erasing it with a rubber, what becomes apparent is precisely the nullified, the eliminated. The demolished is the exposed. The way in which I print graffiti, the intensity, the sense of the gesture and the color are the variables that add up to create this kind of landscape. In the notebook, it has the structure of a conversation that changes through its lines, which wander through the notebook's pages, revealing shapes or colliding betweDeficit invites the viewer to make mistakes. As the poet would say "there is no way for the walker, the path is made when walking", the works somehow value error by placing it at the center of the image, assuming it and facing it as proper and fundamental in the human creative journey . Creating is being in oneself, expressing one's uniqueness, otherwise everything would be an imitation and never a transformation.
In our society that has on social networks (or perhaps "social stages") a mixture of encounters (with others) and disagreements (with oneself), the proposed exhibition suggests a light that illuminates the conscience for valuing the human as a whole, reinforcing the importance of error for the construction of the being's own individuality.
In graffiti works, one can see the artist's insistence that time, the duration of the task itself, is the condition for the emergence of the new. At the end of the repetition, the rubber shamelessly erases, as if opening the chest, accepting the limits and promoting adjustments. What stands out from this graffiti void is the undomesticated unconscious itself, the ID, spontaneous, creative.
Deficit, therefore, unpretentiously, is uncomfortable. Through a certain grammar, it generates tracks that invite you to add to the creative wandering.en them. An omnipresent element in notebooks, here it loses its first ordering function, to be itself an inductor of disarray, without beginning, middle or end.
In a complementary relationship, opposites (full and empty) are creators and interdependent. A presence already presupposes a power of adjustment, of improvement. The deficit shakes a common expectation, as well as surprising the expected, and indicates a new attention. The trail becomes the protagonist. And the insistence, the mechanism of existence.
