"Dame of Stone and Rose" is the main painting from the series "Allegories of White". The figure opens, reveals herself as a heart does, and
is the allegorical depiction, a metaphor for a person who opens his heart.
For this painting was produced a hand-carved and gilded frame "Heart of Silver", which is based on my drawing. The frame symbolically completes the painting- the huge silver heart is like a crown for the figure. And the golden thorns of roses inlace the figure and the heart, as the symbol of pain, difficulty and danger of this act, but also its beauty.
Each allegory is like a visual poem, a game, a puzzle, a maze- where symbols, lightly touching each other, form the anticipation of the hidden unnamed meaning.
