This work is about the feeling that reality is fragile, unclear and misleading. We are exposed to a constant and overwhelming amount of images, from which it is difficult to create meaning. If our sense of reality is based on images, then it is unreliable. The boundaries between imagination, dreams and waking life are permeable. Painting can speak to our current understanding of images because it sits on the threshold between the glass screen of the digital and the tactile realm of the analog.
