The "Cosmic Energy" series of works is my latest thinking on conceptual art.
The space formed by the vertical and horizontal lines in the work comes from the "Nine-Gong Grid". This form of space structure originated from Hetu Luoshu, which originated from the stars in the sky and contains profound principles of cosmic astrology. It is known as the "Universal Rubik's Cube" and has always been considered the source of Chinese civilization. He Tu and Luo Shu are third-order magic squares in mathematics, which were called "Zonghengtu" in ancient China. Luo Shu is a pattern about the changes in the universe.
In this piece, I dealt with color as energy rather than as pure color relationships. The space formed by the vertical and horizontal structure symbolizes the four directions of universe, and the flow of time and space. It is not only a geometric figure or diagram, but also a structure that induces and carries specific thoughts and power patterns. Entering this form is to enter its thoughts. To enter the form is to be affected by the force generated by the form, which is an energy field. To be able to decipher the language of the form is to understand the secrets of the universe. At the same time, the work seeks to provoke thoughts about continuity, rhythm, incompleteness, and those simple and complex abstract geometric forms.
