Here is my latest collection, in which I am exploring new materials. It is embroidery with cotton thread on linen. I am interested in experimenting with different representation techniques in order to observe the results they generate. Just as the brushstroke directly creates a form on the canvas, I believe that the threads weave and recreate the subject to give it life and dynamism. Each thread, each fragment and each pattern reproduces a detail of the skin, a shadow, a muscle. At first glance, it may seem like an abstract work, but it really reveals all the particularities that I perceive of that body.
My work reflects a great interest in human anatomy. These compositions are based on sketches I took of natural nudes, where I focused above all on capturing the volumes of the body and fitting the contrapposto of the figures.
Finally, I cannot describe my work without mentioning one of the fundamental elements: colour. After a previous study and numerous tests, I obtain the combination of colours that I am looking for and that fits each sketch. I can't explain why or how, I only know that colour is like a force that is born inside me and explodes on the canvas through my hand.
