In a vertical dimension of space, where the only suggestion of the landscape is a blue, timeless sky, this lament refers to the sacred event. The identity of the characters is indefinite: a female figure supports the head of a man and there is the presence of a child. The matter comes apart together with the forms, which are at times more drawn and defined, at times incomplete, deliberately interrupted and abraded. A sparrow, an ancient symbol of love, is depicted as terrified, trying to break free. Writings of notes and fragments of various types of paper appear, treated with adhesives, paint and solvents. In an attempt to reconstruct the interrupted humanity of our time, this representation transcends traditional iconography: it refers to the events of the present. The lamentation is repeated, day after day, as well as the unjustified murder of the innocent.
