The
concept behind the artwork "Chimère" lies in my attempt to depict the
complexity of my thought process. Between the incessant thoughts where one idea
leads to a thousand others and the daydreams that constantly carry me away,
preventing me from staying focused, these chimeras emerge.
They
are illusions, entanglements of thoughts, and each viewer will see in them what
they wish. Both beautiful and unsettling, this cacophony of everything takes
over and engulfs all.
The
textures in this artwork create the illusion of numerous branches and roots.
Could this be an analogy for thought branching out? This might be how our minds
work, with ideas branching and connecting unexpectedly, forming a complex
network. With "Chimère", I'm trying to offer a glimpse into this
diversity of thoughts and emotions that intersect and intertwine, creating an
experience that is visually captivating and intellectually intriguing.
To illustrate this complexity, I use natural moss, symbolizing
the neural connections forming in our brains.
Within a dense and intricate mesh, vibrant colors represent
nerve impulses, those tiny electrical signals that facilitate communication
between each neuron. All this information and these ideas flow and take their
place within the composition as a whole, thus creating a fusion between the
dreamlike world and tangible reality.
