Change is in the nature of the human being. Its need to renew itself is contrasted by the reassuring maintenance of the status quo. The result is a continuous struggle between two opposing forces towards a cathartic revolution in which the new being will each time take on the form of the previous one. The continuous repetition of this struggle is underlined by the shape of an eight (symbol of infinity) that the "two" bodies assume.
