This work is a research into the dimensions of the body and psycho-physical equilibrium. The relationship between body and psyche is today very conflicting. The risk of categorizing and naming an individual through its forms is still a problem at the origin of numerous of bodily and dietary discomforts. The subject (a wader) with his oblique and swaying shapes tries to break this logic. It shows, in the form of a game, a pacific way to self-acceptance.
If the title alludes to Battiato (Centro di gravità permanente, 1981), the content can easily be linked to some verses of the poet Aldo Palazzeschi ("Chi sono?" 1909): "Io metto una lente / davanti al mio cuore / per farlo vedere alla gente. / Chi sono? / Il saltimbanco dell'anima mia" (I put a lens / in front of my heart / to show it to people / Who I am? / The acrobat of my soul).
The man's forms are also inspired by a mask of the White Horse Circus (Bread and Puppet Theatre) directed by Peter Schumann.
