The game between the italian words cimentarsi (trying) and cementare (cementing), describes the irony of the work and embodies one of the aspects of the discussion on languages, pursued by the artist.
Often we forget the conventional aspect of the written and spoken languages that we had defined in the course of history. Relying on this idea brings us to literally cementing ourselves in this fake certainty. We say nothing until we give meaning to the words we write or pronounce and in this work, by cutting off the letters and words from the page, all the words' meanings are deleted. Through the elimination of the entire text, the aim is to take a step back and remember the precarious aspect of the media that we use to communicate, that is the language.
