The piece “Celestial Dancer” is an abstract interpretation of the graceful and joyous movements of classical Indian dance. It speaks to the interplay of dynamic and static divine energy flow. This piece is from the series “Temple Dancers of Khajuraho”.
Method: The paper panels are painted with water soluble graphite on linen paper, precisely cut and then mounted onto a prepared wood board. The color blocks are painted with acrylic paint. All materials used are archival quality.
