Catharsis is a story of a girl who has let go of repressed emotions. The filter and fog holding her back has lifted (as shown in the right hand corner) and she is free to scream, cry, and wail about the ills that have plagued her. The rain is golden: although it hurts to feel raw emotions, it is also a feeling that should be treasured. The girl photographed is lifting her face to the rain and moves her hand to the sky as she embraces the letting go of circumstances that were holding her back.
