I made this medium-sized painting in Todi in 2022 on the occasion of the visit of some Brazilian friends where we listened to Jobim's music, drank caipirinhas and recalled the "good old days in Rio" .
There is a counterpoint order and rhythm in the chaotic flow of this carioca gibberish, a bit like the traffic in the city. The painting can also be seen as a musical score. The symbols used are part of an invented trans-verbal scripture whose meaning isn't conceptual. This form of writing can be found in several of my other works.
