Recently, my thinking about art has gradually shifted from the Western classical approach to "intrinsic nature" to the modern and contemporary exploration of "relative reality".
In this work, I tried for the first time to recreate on a completed past work (a study I learned from Mondrian four years ago), because each of our current feelings or actions is constructed In the memory of the past, instead of coming from a white canvas like a traditional painting.
Secondly, I think this work contains three ways of visually expressing the world. (The mixed colors on the left, the Mondrian-style abstraction of absolute rationality in the background, and our imitation of nature in the landscape.) And in the context of contemporary cultural diversity, the conflict between the three styles has disappeared. The side-flowing colors can gradually become the landscape, and the color of the landscape adds a light green film to the memory of the bottom layer.
Finally, in today’s era of flooding of pictures, photography has made a great change in the meaning of the word "realism". Photography intercepts reality, but does not try to beautify or surpass reality. What he does is "freeze time"; this and There is a fundamental difference in the intention of Western classical landscape painting to beautify nature. Through this work, I hope that the audience can have a "gaze" on the "corner of life" that is not paid attention to in daily life. In this process, we can have a new perception of "the situation of our own existence".
