"Blue Skull"
Skull serie
On the one hand, the skull represent the transience of being and the
equality that unites us. No matter what lies above the skull - the bone part,
the "material" from which we consist (were created), is the same.
The "play with the colors" relates to what defines each and every
one of us. Sometimes it is bright and full of lights, sometimes it is dark, and
from time to time, it puzzled others or ourselves. Who am I? What am I? Am I
just an interplay of thoughts and feelings in my head or is there more than
that? Is there something that cannot be grasped - at least not as long as bones
and flesh surrounds us?
Sometimes our self-doubts, fears, inadequacies
seems to get out of hand. This is not only seen as a negative circumstance.
From time to time, there is so much (creative) energy bubbling out of us, that
we cannot stop it.
In addition, the news media with their flood of information and globalization
contribute to the fact that we often feel overwhelmed. We no longer know what
to do with all the information - it is circling around us, maybe its paralyzing
us or it is like a beast which eats us up from within.
I often ask myself should I be happy because something beautiful happened
in my life or should I mourn, because I see the news and the suffering of the
world? Or is it the other way around? Do we suffer because we see others on
social media who obvious lead the life we want?
It is difficult to cope with all of this and sometimes we do not know what
to do with our emotions, our thoughts or our own being. At some point, we can
no longer hold this in us and it literally explodes out of us.
