The Blackfeet Warrior Societies had a code of honor. The beadwork, the totems are all for bravery and strength of spirit. Eagle feathers drape his outfit. The horse is the original horses bred after the Spanish left for their speed and toughness. They are strong and have great endurance as well as swiftness whether going after the buffalo for food or in battle. They were feared throughout the West by the Tribes. The Blackfeet Warrior lives by these words: "It is bad to live to be old; better to die young, fighting in battle."
