Abba's
works have burn marks, what fire did they survive? Its burns symbolize the
lacerations and mendings of the soul, a process of indelible cracks within our
mental state, the fire is not left totally to chance but is guided by the
artist, the fire lets itself be led and footprints are formed from the soot
abstract forms that arise spontaneously, unexpectedly.
I think of
fire as a living being, which like us lives in transformation, this means that
when the flame triggers the soot process, I let it decide the shape itself.
