This is an oil painting, with a story about preserving natural environment of Karst (Kras) in Slovenia. A birth is given under the trees and forests which have burnt to the ground because of extreme weather changes amidst which new life is born. The foresting is happening already in 2023 but trees will take years to grow, and the newborn child will grow together with them, giving the soil new chance and a new life. The artist uses his philosophical approach to painting but deviates with extreme abstraction, using mixed techniques, oil and charcoal and pencil on canvas, to celebrate life and complex yet fragile natural environment we livd in.
