The themes that I am most interested in are about the act of observing our surroundings and the notion of memory. I search for symbols in everyday life that together show the small absurdities of what we accept as accustomed environment. These works question how routinely we adapt to the type of connection we see between nature and the built world. Nature becomes unnatural in urban everyday life: bushes become square, water becomes neon colored, rock pigeons search for food on paved roads, cranes are sitting on balconies, we sell fresh flowers from vending machines. These symbols not only focus on this element, they reflect on how our attention changes, how our personal memory shifts and shows the importance of observation.
