I started my career in the Theatre and worked for a long time in Theatre Lighting before becoming a Puppeteer. The play, Waiting for Godot is about waiting. I love the idea of doing an artwork about waiting. Most of my artworks over the past ten years have been Assemblages, Collages using Puppet Making materials. I have been a Puppet Maker and Puppeteer for a long time and it's suited but I wanted to return to Fine Art painting. The idea of a journey ending in waiting came to mind and we have an expression in the UK, "I will wait till the Cows come home". The most painful but rewarding wait is that for love. So I put all that together and realised a couple of Artworks with that idea. This is one. I used Acrylic and a thickener and applied it with brushes and a Wedding Cake Icing tool. Just a few Puppet making items, toy eyes and teeth with a tuft of faux hair. It should go on a wall where people wait I think.
