Light and Space - Holographic City Memories
Jürgen Eichler deals with three-dimensinal coloured light structures is space. In the work, holographic elements with their spectral pure colours are combined with graphic material. In this case, the grapic shows the famous Brandenburg Gate. The holographic structures infront and behid of the graphic show the most import historic and modern buildings of Berlin. The 3D light structures move with the direction of observation. The normal colours of the graphic and the spectral colours of the holographic structures are superimposed. A unique additive and substractive colour mixing takes place which depends dynamically with the movent of the observer,
The artwork deals with the nature of light, the different colours in space and the effect on the eye and the brain. It is about the properties of seeing and question of the reality of the seen.
The holographic fantasies are memories to Berlin where the author is living since many years. What is the reality and what is imagination?
