One of the last truly wild places on earth, the Beartooth Wilderness in the Rocky Mountains is home to the Great American Grizzly Bear, eagles, wolves, and the rare wolverine. These are high mountain animals and need large ranges and great wilderness areas to roam. The Bear's Tooth is the iconic peak seen from the top of the Beartooth Pass near my home. It is a famous landmark and a great draw for people from all over the world, named by the first Native Americans and is one of the reasons Montana is called "the Last Great Place!"
