During a visit to Portugal, the artist and his photographer wife were looking for a photo spot in Nazaré beach, where the Brazilian female surfer Maya Gabeira awarded the Guiness Record of the biggest wave ever surfed (24,5m.).
They were caught by surprise by this cannon blasting wave on the breakwaters of Nazaré, an unexpected baptism from the sea.
A tourist nearby took the reference picture for this vivid painting with the narrative inspired by Tintin´s adventure comic books.
