Inspired by an Author Prof .Titus okereke book titled Our fathers land.
The reality in the book he wrote 'Our father's land where someone can't present his/herself in there culture.its sad at times seeing a brought up igbo man who can't speak his native tongue but av seen cases where children who didn't smell there home town speak proudly and plain in their native dialect having noticed all this diabolical culture drama I came up with the 'title Back from the state'
The context back from the state in the painting means gaining the knowledge or arriving at a solution he / she had been denied because of any situation or occurrence. Having remembered the situation when anybody from my village travelled far away to America or any part of the continent back then during the day of his arrival might be a surprise but the atmosphere is always like Christmas period.
This work is a reminder to everyone existing letting us know that their is always a home no matter where we find ourselves.
