ATTACCATI is a series started during the pandemic. It presents topics of interdependence, care, ecological awareness and the need for conciliation.
It was put together from single pages of paper to produce a bigger picture. Adapted to home scale and surroundings, these pages were held together using pharmaceutical bandage which was only removed as the paint started to dry.
The void created by the missing paint remains as scars and memory of the gesture. At the same time, these traces of absence commence a loud dialogue with the fictional landscape it depicts or does not depict.
This complex dialogue allows some opposites like presence and absence, part and whole, help and depletion become issues and negotiate importance. These ideas resonate not only the time of covid-19 but also concerns of the environment and the fractures we are causing to our planet.
