I call my practice Gestural Minimalism, because it is based on the repetition of a reduced gesture, which is rhythmically regular and precise. It draws from mechanical movements of textile techniques and I relate it to the rhythm of waves, vibrations and breathing. I experience the practice as a meditation that tunes with my body and triggers soothing affective sensations. This triptych meditates about water waves, it has gilding (copper and zinc leaf) and cotton threads on the backgrounds.
