Born in South Sudan, Jeffah
Thabach was separated from his parents at the age of six and forced to move to
a refugee camp in Ethiopia. He spent 22 years in various camps. Despite his
incredibly difficult situation, he gained an education, married and started a
family.
Jeffah is now a Project Officer at Centre for
Multicultural Youth in Victoria and a father of six. Much of his work involves
working against racial profiling.
His story is one of faith against the odds,
and a simple desire to create a life where he and his family can feel safe.
