"Armonico
Blu IV,"
created in 2024 during a period of deep personal reflection, is a painting
measuring 150x120 cm, crafted using mixed media on canvas with silver leaf and
gold leaf.
"Armonico Blu IV" features a large arch, closed only on the right
side, in ultramarine blue, symbolizing a snake. Inside the arch, small dots
and marks in white, yellow, red, and silver leaf represent a starry sky. On the
left, a yellow circle on a pink background symbolizes the arrival of day with
dawn, while the morning stars are depicted in gold leaf. On the right side, a white and gray cloud represents
time and its seasons. Also on the left, but lower than the dawn sky, another
white cloud on a light blue background symbolizes day. The lower part of the
painting consists of a bright blue band.
The painting reflects a search for harmony and the transition between night and
day, life and death, focusing on the sky and celestial elements, where dawn
rises from the deepest darkness. The use of silver and gold leaf adds
brightness and depth to the work.
"Armonico Blu IV" is a reinterpretation of the theme of the
alternation between night and day, life and death. The blue arch, symbolizing a
serpent, represents the eternal cycle of renewal and transformation.
As in almost all my paintings, the sky is the protagonist, representing
primordial elements such as stars and celestial bodies. In modern times, we
often lose sight of these natural wonders, distracted by the many aspects of
daily life.
My goal is to offer the viewer a visual refuge, a place where the
eye can wander and find peace.
My approach to art is strongly influenced by the need to create a space of
serenity and introspection, far from the pressures and negativity of the
outside world. Unlike many artists who use art as a means of protest or
denunciation, my intention is to offer an alternative: a safe and reassuring
refuge.
Through "Armonico Blu IV," I wish to invite the viewer to immerse
themselves in a dimension of calm and beauty.
The sky, with its stars and hues,
is a recurring theme in my works, representing an eternal and universal element
that can reconnect us with our deepest essence.
In a historical period where we
are often overwhelmed by commitments and worries, I hope this painting can
serve as a visual pause, a moment of breath where one can retreat and regain a
sense of balance.
My works seek to offer an escape from the daily frenzy, proposing a silent
dialogue with nature and oneself. "Armonico Blu IV," with its symbols
and colors, aims to be a tranquil harbor where the soul can rest and regenerate,
reminding us of the importance of stopping, contemplating, and
appreciating the beauty that surrounds us.
