"Armonico
Blu III,"
created in 2024, is a 150x100 cm painting crafted using a mixed technique on
canvas, including the application of silver leaf.
"Armonico Blu III" consists of four
distinctive color bands. The upper band is an intense ultramarine blue,
followed by a second band where royal blue predominates. The third band blends
royal blue and white, while the lower band, the largest, is dominated by white.
In the upper band, small white dots extend toward the lower bands, symbolizing
a starry sky. In the last band, on the right side of the painting, a large
cloud suggests the arrival of day.
The painting reflects a quest for harmony and the transition between night and
day, focusing on the sky and celestial elements. The use of silver leaf adds
luminosity and refinement to the work.
As in most of my works, the central theme is the transition between night and
day, with particular attention to the sky. This primordial element is a symbol
whose perception, in modern times, we have lost, often neglected due to daily
distractions. My goal is to offer the viewer a visual refuge, where their gaze
can wander and find peace.
In my works, I deliberately choose not to represent dramatic aspects or life's
difficulties.
I firmly believe that art should, at least in part, serve as a
refuge from the frustrations and brutality of the modern world. In an era where
we are constantly bombarded with negative and stressful news, my work aims to
be an oasis of tranquility. Art can be a powerful tool for protest and social
critique, but my intent is different. I see art as a means to offer comfort and
a sense of calm.
Through "Armonico Blu III," I invite the viewer to
take a moment to breathe, reflect, and find serenity in the beauty of the
starry sky and the dawn.
The sky, with its stars and celestial bodies, is a primordial and universal
element capable of reconnecting us with a dimension of inner peace and
contemplation that we often neglect in our daily lives.
My work aims to create
a space where the eye and mind can travel freely, away from daily concerns,
rediscovering a connection with nature and oneself. This painting, like the
others in my series, is an invitation to rediscover a sense of harmony and
balance, offering itself as a visual
refuge where the soul can find rest and renewal.
