"Red desert" is one of my reflections on the huge metal wind turbines that became a part of our life before we payed attention to it.
Living in an industrial city with a huge port (Antwerp,
Belgium), I adore to go to the river or to a bridge to admire the sunrises and
sunsets.
And doing this regularly, I realized that during the last decade the
huge wind turbines became our neighbors. Before they were only in fields
and open spaces between the cities and the villages. But now I can see them
above Antwerp, they became present everywhere...
And it seems that I get used to their presence in my everyday
life. And it seems even that I like them somehow. And one day, looking at them
in the rays of the setting sun, I had a vision...
Imagine, that the huge wind turbines, aeolians, are not just metal
constructions, but creatures with souls and characters. Like the humans,
they are all different, they have their stories, their emotions.
