Women who are locked up in their homes with their aggressor drown in anguish, while holding
back their breath and pain.
I imagine these women as if they were surrounded by water because water gives a sense of
isolation, like a wall of lies that separates them from the rest of the world.
However, their emotions, their thoughts and their desires remain clearly visible in their eyes.
Empathy is what withholds us from becoming animals and this project does leverage that. Only by
looking these women in the eyes we will have the opportunity to truly understand their pain.
I would like to portray the eyes of these victims, so that the viewers can reflect themselves in the
eyes of these women that daily see their molester.
