And the red? (Roosters) is another piece from my series of paintings with the theme of red color, composition and combination solving, the structure in the sense of physical three dimensionality of a painting, the flow of time and the play of light in sense of its angle of impact and then the different angles of view of the spectator. Another base line are flowers, because the first painting of the series was meant to bring the female element to a male household and flowers are a hobby of one of the tenants.
And the red? (Roosters) is basically a very simple play with the theory of colors and the very one piece, that is missing the red color on its surface. Here I am using only the basic colors plus the white and black, that has substituted the red coloring of the strelicia flowers. The very name of the painting gives a helping hand in reading this piece and is a proper part of the artwork. After finishing the philosophical The three ages(paeonies) I was hoping to create a fun piece, that gives a little relieve/smile to the observer. The strelicias, especially in their natural color, bring to my mind the colorful heads of roosters, thus the nickname Roosters.
