It is on identity and history that “Memorie” is based, the sum of memories and identity of spaces interpreted through a monochrome of looks and emotions The paintings in my research are reminiscent images, made of inaccurate contours, vague in some places, where the diversification of chromatic tones tends in some places to blend, becoming evanescent, while in others it appears as strengthened by small signs, they are memories of places that are not lived daily and when you return, you end up appreciating them more. The waiting space that exists before returning remains fundamental because it feeds the strong bond. The evanescence, the visual dust, the crumbling of the defined contours, the intermittent lines, represent my memory in the physical distance; the points where the color is strengthened, with a white tint or for shadow points is the desire to keep the memory alive.
“Memorie” is for me, that Bell Tower of Marcellinara around which my life returns to regular cycles, my paradise of Giverny, my starting point, my origin, the most rooted part.
