Work exhibited at Saphira & Ventura Gallery in New York
at the solo "Aqua" in 2022.
The inspiration came from the water, from the challenge of representing the movement of water and, finally, of transferring feelings through a figurative work. The challenge in this work is the representation of the swimming of woman on the water, represented by the overlap a sequence of four images, via the use of transparencies and deformation of the figures. The aim is to represent the dynamism of the action of the swimmer and the water itself, also depicting the transparency an tri-dimensional, almost surreal perspective, in which it is complex to recognize the physical forms of the body fragmented into a myriad of reflections and spots of colours. The medium is chosen to represent transparencies and the movement of the body and water.
