The New Moon
After discovering everything about his Planet, the man ventures into extraterrestrial
expeditions to search for new life and new planets to conquer.
The astronaut in the painting reveals the existence of a new 'land' that has
been there for many years now: an island made of plastic in the middle of the
ocean.
A vast expanse of thousands of square kilometers of waste has occupied a good
part of the oceans, creating unimaginable pollution. Such waste, mostly in
plastic, decomposes into smaller and smaller pieces that are ingested by
aquatic animals and enter the food chain.
The astronaut, symbol of man that conquers extraterrestrial worlds, intends to
plant his flag into this new land, that humankind created and 'deservedly'
conquered.
This new land promises nothing good and we do not see it because it is far from
our sight, but it could make life on Earth more and more difficult
