Water as a symbol of
the unconscious: a
deep water in which treasures of wisdom and intuition are submerged or a
clearer water that reveals his hidden riches...
This is a diptych
because it considers the topic for two different levels of depth.
In my paintings I draw inspiration
from the symbols and mental maps
that I trace during the sessions as Psychoanalyst: worksheets full of signs
that summarize the infinite complexity of our inner life. Here in the background I painted cells and neurons, the physical basis
of our mental activity, above I wrote, in a barely legible calligraphy, the
entire contents of the sessions, and
finally I traced the mental map with all
the symbols and connections between the elements. If we look closely at the
symbols, the meaning becomes clear: everything is written, painted, drawn on
these canvases…
